New English Translation
44 The[a] robbers who were crucified with him also spoke abusively to him.[b]

45 Now from noon until three,[c] darkness came over all the land.[d] 46 At[e] about three o’clock Jesus shouted with a loud voice,[f] “Eli, Eli, lema sabachthani?” that is, “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?”[g]
